INTERN FAQ

TEXT SIZE:   S   M   L   XL

Why should I consider an internship with GCM?
GCM's purpose behind this exciting program is to give interested young people a chance to get a taste of ministry without the long-term commitment. The internship program also gives some students the opportunity to get "real world" experience in their area of study, possibly for college credit.

What ministry options do I have?
You may serve in a variety of ministries, such as one of the college LT programs, on a college campus, with a high school ministry, or an administrative internship at GCM's world headquarters.

Do I have to raise support?
Yes, each intern must raise 100 percent of GCM's costs of employment through our Ministry Team Development (MTD) Program. Interns must attend the MTD training on how to raise support for GCM in order to participate in the internship program. Due to the amount of time needed for raising support prior to beginning an internship, this training is offered in late February or early March. The MTD training for interns is only offered one time each year.

When do I need to apply?
Applications must be submitted to GCM, postmarked by December 15. Applications should be sent to GCM, Attention: Human Resources Department.

How do I get accepted for an internship?
Acceptance is determined by GCM pastors and staff. The Human Resource Department will provide guidance in this process. If you have further questions, contact your local GCM pastor or staff member.
